Se da en una capa del tejido situado debajo de la piel de la palma de la mano. Se crean nudos en este tejido que despu\u00e9s forman un cord\u00f3n grueso que afectan a uno o m\u00e1s dedos cuando se encuentran flexionados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seg\u00fan vaya evolucionando la dolencia, lo habitual es que la piel se arrugue o tenga hoyuelos. Al contrario de lo que se puede pensar, no parece que sea producida por una lesi\u00f3n ni por realizar un trabajo concreto o repetitivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eso s\u00ed, se sospecha que existen algunos factores que incrementan el riesgo de sufrir esta enfermedad, son estos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Edad. <\/strong>Esta dolencia se presenta sobre todo a partir de los 40 o 50 a\u00f1os.<\/li><li><strong>Sexo.<\/strong> Alrededor del 80 % de los pacientes que sufren la enfermedad de Dupuytren son hombres.<\/li><li><strong>Origen.<\/strong> Las personas que se originan de la Europa del Norte tienen m\u00e1s posibilidades de sufrir este problema.<\/li><li><strong>Gen\u00e9tica.<\/strong> En muchos casos, la enfermedad es hereditaria y tiene un origen gen\u00e9tico.<\/li><li><strong>Diabetes.<\/strong> Seg\u00fan diferentes estudios, las personas que sufren diabetes tienen m\u00e1s posibilidades de padecer la enfermedad de Dupuytren en alg\u00fan momento de su vida.<\/li><li><strong>Tabaco.<\/strong> Se cree que el consumo de tabaco est\u00e1 relacionado con un aumento de las posibilidades de sufrir la enfermedad de Dupuytren. La raz\u00f3n es que provoca peque\u00f1os da\u00f1os en los vasos sangu\u00edneos.<\/li><li><strong>Alcohol.<\/strong> Tambi\u00e9n el consumo de alcohol puede provocar la enfermedad por la misma raz\u00f3n que el tabaco.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfSe puede curar?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En este momento, no existe un tratamiento que pueda curar la enfermedad de Dupuytren, aunque s\u00ed se puede tratar para aliviar sus s\u00edntomas y mejorar el estado del paciente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfCu\u00e1l es el tratamiento de la enfermedad de Dupuytren?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si la enfermedad no dificulta la vida diaria del paciente, no es necesario seguir ning\u00fan tratamiento. Cuando s\u00ed lo hace, se puede optar por alguna de estas t\u00e9cnicas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Punci\u00f3n. <\/strong>Se utiliza una aguja, que se inserta en la piel para romper el tejido que se ha formado. Despu\u00e9s, se necesita hacer algo de fisioterapia para rehabilitar la zona.<\/li><li><strong>Inyecciones de enzimas. <\/strong>Se inyectan unas encimas en el cord\u00f3n para que se debilite y despu\u00e9s el m\u00e9dico pueda romperlo. Tambi\u00e9n se tendr\u00e1 que rehabilitar la mano.<\/li><li><strong>Cirug\u00eda.<\/strong> Si la enfermedad ha avanzado y afecta de forma notable a la movilidad de la mano, ser\u00e1 necesario pasar por el quir\u00f3fano.
